Welcome to the Pangaea Summer Festival Website for 2009
Pangaea Festival comes just twice a year, transforming the University of Manchester Students’ Union and Manchester Academy into the largest one night, student-led alternative music and arts festival. Spanning across 13 Stages in 9 venues, with 2 marquees & 2 open air stages, a selection of spaces and a cinema.
Thanks to everyone who brought extra early bird tickets! They sold out fast but don’t worry if you missed them, we have another batch of early bird and advance tickets to go online in May. Pangaea promises a multi dimensional extravaganza of alternative musical exploration in one night.
We are proud to be hosted in the most spectacular and unique range of venues you’ll find at a festival, merging all the fun of indoor and outdoor festivals to put on astonishing night of entertainment. Get a taste of the diverse range of what alternative music has to offer, whether you want to be raving till the sun comes up, discovering new talent, opening your eyes to live theatre and magic or mellowing out to the soothing acoustic summery rhythms, we have it all.
2009 is set to be a fantastic start to the Summer with new additions to the festival including a Silent Disco and two new outdoor stages in the form of the LoveMusicHateRacism Carnival Stage and The Rustic Stage. Old favorites will be back including the Retro Arcade and the fairies are again roaming the night with their extra special treats or join them on the mushrooms around the Fairy’s Well.
One Night Not To Be Missed and lots more to be announced....
